July 2012. No Discipline.

What can I say about my discipline? Too many ideas in my head? Too many opportunities to pursue? Too many good books to read? Too little time... Because I am young and I wanna have fun and enjoy this summer. I wanna everything at the same time. I work as a full-time graphic designer, and I love every minute of it. But then I see photos around me and I get inspired, my hands start to itch, and I wanna do photo shoots... And then I come across some business ideas, and I think they are brilliant, and I wanna do that... Amazing weather outside does not help moving forward in my business adventures, but it definitely helps in having a fantastic day! Enjoy your day everybody!

Three days until "31 Days of Discipline"

I am about to take part this year again in the project called "31 days of discipline". I did it last year, and it was a great motivation for me. 

Last summer... I remember last June I was sitting home with lots of free time thinking what to create. Notice, I never have a problem of what to do, it's always what to create. I started talking to my friend Johan on Facebook, and we came up with this idea of creating one piece of Art every day of July. Motivation is what all of us sometimes need to create or to finish a project.  Johan created a page on Facebook, invited more people to participate and the party started. 

This year, I have a different problem: TIME. Where to find it ? Has anybody seen it lately? :)  But I know I will make it happen. I will find enough time for all ambitious projects I have in mind.

Let me introduce myself

So I decided that it's time to update my profile info. That's what I had until now:

Nothing about my personality, my background, my style of shooting, my sense of humor, my passion and my inspirations, etc. 

So, let me introduce myself.

My name is Nadia. My last name is not Comaneci. And yes, I hear that joke way too often :)

My last name is Skopintseva, and I am Russian. I was born and raised in Russia, and I moved to America four years ago. I visited US couple times as a tourist before, but fell in love with american life and stayed... Long story short, I am graduating from Wilmington University in January 2012 with a Bachelors degree and looking forward to being a photographer full time. I also have a degree from Voronezh College of Art in Russia where I studied Ceramics and Painting. 

Fun facts:

I have a twin sister. She lives in Russia, but comes to US quite often to do shopping :)

I have a live size maneken in my house.

Out of all states in US, I picked the smallest one  to reside D-E-L-A-WHERE? (My Mom had a hard time finding it on the map)

Taking photographs makes me happy. And I hope there is at least one person in the world who enjoys viewing the images I take.
